Stable Microclimate – IDEAL FOR CHERRIES

Focus on stable yields and a range of varieties that cover most of the season.

Loess–chernozem soil, gentle slopes, and plenty of sunshine, combined with the Danube’s moderating influence on extreme temperatures and the protection of Fruška Gora from strong winds, create a stable microclimate ideal for cherries.

Our Capacities

BMK Agrar cultivates next-generation cherries on two orchard sites: The first, established in 2022 on 12.5 ha, includes a wider assortment of varieties to extend the season. The second, planted in 2024 on 5 ha, is optimized for early, self-fertile varieties with full protection from rain and insects.

Complete Orchard Protection – Orchard 1

Orchard Technologies

Controlled freshness and guaranteed consistency of every cherry.

Standardized quality from orchard to packaging.

Irrigation and fertigation

Precise dosing of water and nutrients through a drip irrigation system, based on soil agrochemical analysis, leaf analysis, and data obtained from the weather station in the orchard.

Hail
protection

Fruit is protected from hail, ensuring stable yield and consistent quality.

Anti-rain
films

These covers protect trees from rain and stabilize the microclimate within the canopy. They reduce fruit cracking while preserving firmness and color.

“Fruit cage”
system

A complete net construction around the orchard — roof and side curtains — protects cherries from insects, birds, and wind. The result: more stable quality and secure yields throughout the season.

Our Varieties

Early, self-fertile varieties from the Sweet family (Aryana, Lorenz) provide a strong start, while proven Kordia, Regina, Ferrovia, and Grey Star maintain continuity and standards in mid and late season. The result is batches with uniform size, consistent color and firmness, ready to meet both domestic and export demands.

The cherry assortment is designed to cover the entire season – from the early start to late deliveries.

Large, dark red, and very firm cherries, recognized on export markets. They deliver uniform classifications and excellent shelf life.

Late-season, large, and resilient cherry with excellent firmness. A late-season standard when uniformity and longer shelf life are required.

Recognizable heart-shaped fruit, known for its sweetness and juiciness, with strong visual appeal. Provides stable yield and consistent sizing.

Early and self-fertile, with firmness and a deep, lasting dark color. Perfect partner to Aryana for the early export window and stable series.

Early, self-fertile variety with large, glossy fruit and uniform sizing. Reliably opens the season and handles transport well.

Mid-early to mid-late, with a balanced mix of sweetness and firmness. Consistently produces uniform batches and adapts well to variable conditions.

Areko grown under the Bibaum system for reliable yield and strong fruit size throughout the season. Often used as a pollinator and for batch stability.

Kordia in Bibaum system (double-leader trained trees). Enters production faster, with more uniform growth and easier pruning and harvesting.

Regina is cultivated in Bibaum format for a more stable crop load and consistent fruit size. Helps ensure reliable late-season deliveries.
